Decimal Hospitality Financial Services

Steven Blaine has seen hospitality from all angles—first as a licensee and general manager, then on the supply side working as a liquor wholesaler while running the books part time. Bookkeeping started as a favour for his family’s venue back in Queensland, but quickly grew into something more. 

In 2022, he launched Decimal, a financial services business built specifically for hospitality. Today, it supports venues across WA with bookkeeping, payroll, reporting, and tech stack advisory, with a clear goal to help venues run more profitably with less effort.

With a high volume of client payrolls to process each week, Steve knew that every manual task added up. Automating as much as possible wasn’t just a nice-to-have—it was essential. Reporting and analytics are a core part of Decimal’s service, so access to real-time data is crucial for Steve. By integrating Tanda with his clients’ POS systems, he can track labour trends as they happen and offer recommendations that directly improve profitability. Whether it’s adjusting rosters based on sales patterns or identifying cost blowouts early, the insights are immediate and actionable.

Having a single system for staff management has made life easier for both Steve and his clients.
