What's New: June 2025
Our latest addition to the Tanda HR solution has arrived! Surveys gives managers a fast way to request bulk data, and gives staff an easy way to submit it all, directly in the Tanda mobile app.
Surveys can be anonymous, assigned to specific employees, or open for everyone.
Early adopters have been using this feature for:
- Asking additional questions during employee onboarding - think uniform sizes, dietaries, and more
- Pulse surveys & check-ins with new staff
- Exit interviews to see where improvements can be made around the workplace

We've improved the flexibility of our industry-leading award interpretation with our new IFA functionality.
Now, you can define individual IFAs, select which award conditions should be disabled, and link your own custom conditions. This makes it easier to view and customise your arrangements at a glance, with comprehensive audit trails to track any changes.

We’ve continued to work on our Tanda Hire feature this month, aiming to make the hiring experience as user-friendly and frictionless as possible.
Users can now ask screening questions in Tanda Hire using the "video" answer format. For example, you could ask applicants to upload a 30-second video introducing themselves.
We also added the ability for users to customise their ‘Job Stages’ (i.e. Shortlisted, Interviewed, Offered, etc.), giving teams more flexibility over their hiring process.
What’s more, you can now nominate interviewer availability times directly in Tanda Hire to empower shortlisted candidates to self-schedule their interviews. This can be a massive time-saver for hiring managers, avoiding back-and-forth emails and frustrating games of phone tag when trying to schedule interviews.

Tired of scrolling through a long list of reports, struggling to find the one that best suits your needs? Not anymore! Now, our AI-powered report-finder streamlines the process.
Simply type your query into the search box and our report-finder will recommend the 1-3 most relevant reports for your needs, including a percentage match and a description. If the report requires any filters to best match your query, they will be pre-set when you click through.
Additionally, we released two new reports this month:
- The TOIL Accrual Report makes tracking and managing employee TOIL balances seamless
- The New Report: Missing Regular Hours of Work helps quickly identify staff without regular hours configured that may affect pay outcomes

Off the back of our recent releases, we've integrated our budgets feature with several costing reports.
Now, you're able to view data like budgeted hours, budgeted sales, budgeted sales per labour hour, and budgeted wage as a percentage of revenue right next to your actual figures. Spot any deficits and take action where needed to get wages back on track.

Tanda users paying staff under our Hospitality Industry General Award (HIGA) [MA000009] or our Aged Care Managed Award [MA000018] templates can now benefit from improved automation and functionality.
Specifically, this month, we added automations for ordinary hours rules, missed meal break rules, overtime rules, TOIL tracking, and more to these award templates.

We continued refining and enhancing our Pay Checks feature this month, adding three new checks:
- Shift Was Edited by the Employee
- Employment Condition Set for Employee has changed during the Timesheet
- Employee has both a salary and an hourly rate derived from Award Tags, they should have one or the other
These new checks are set to ‘Warning’ by default, meaning users will be alerted whenever they are violated, but will not be blocked from performing any actions.
As always, our goal with adding these new Pay Checks is to catch potential errors before they arise. By continuing to add new Pay Checks, users have greater peace of mind that issues aren’t slipping through the cracks when they use Tanda.
