We’re excited to share our latest job board integration with Indeed. 

Finding the best talent is hard enough, and sorting through multiple job boards and onboarding successful applicants creates double-entry that you just don’t have time for. 

Now, Tanda HR users can create and post job ads to Australia’s biggest job boards - Indeed and Seek - and then onboard, train, and roster all in one place.

For businesses on Tanda Payroll and Tanda HR, you can link specific form responses to payroll items, eliminating double entry and making pay day even faster. 

How does it work? Simply create your custom form to collect all the information you need, such as travelled kilometres and pictures of the odometer. 

Then, link the response to a payroll item as either a reimbursement, allowance, or deduction. Once approved by management, it’ll appear on the employee’s next payslip as the relevant line item. 

When a staff member’s employment conditions change, their leave balance and entitlements may also need updating. 

Tanda can now automate leave balance recalculations in certain scenarios, such as when an employee’s weekly hours increase.

If you’re also using Tanda’s Payroll solution, this information updates on their payroll settings automatically and eliminates double entry between systems.

For a more complete picture, you can now store two additional fields against staff qualifications and certifications:

• Training Provider Name
• State or Territory of Completion

This is particularly helpful for tracking Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications that must be issued by Registered Training Organisations, or have state reporting requirements.

Further improvements to our award interpretation engine has allowed us to automate more of Australia’s most complex award conditions. 

For the Children’s Services Award [MA000120], this includes:

• Adding Missed Meal Break overtime automations.
• Adding overtime automations for working beyond a 12-hour spread.
• Adding new automations for part-time employees working outside their contracted weekly hours.
• Adding TOIL accrual and expiry for all employment types.

For the Animal Care and Veterinary Services Award [MA000118], enhancements include:

• Automation of the broken shift allowances (clause 16.2(a));
• On call allowances (clauses 16.2(c) and 16.3(a)); and
• Return to duty conditions (clauses 20.1(e) and 16.3(a)(i));

And for the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award [MA000058], they include:

• Addition of Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) conditions
• Automation of the Broken Work Periods Allowance
• Further automation of the First Aid Allowance

Several small but mighty updates have been made to how you create job ads and contracts, including:

• The ability to add & populate tables 
• Attach and insert images in the job ad/contract body
• Format content with more granular settings, such as text alignment and size variations

The same additions will be made to other parts of Tanda in the coming weeks and months.

When attempting to make bulk updates, such as changing teams and deactivating staff, we’ll now flag any potential issues based on what validations are set up in your account. 

For example, you may assign multiple employees to a team that requires an RSA. If they don’t have a valid RSA, they’ll be flagged or blocked before you make the change (depending on your account settings).

You can now add more placeholder fields in your Tanda Hire emails for more flexibility in your email templates. 

Placeholders take the information that’s already been entered by the applicant or configured in your account, and populates it straight into your email. This means, from applicant to applicant, you can share more specific information without spending hours typing out every word. These fields include:

• Candidates full name
• Job title
• Interview date
• Link to schedule an interview (where applicable)

We’ve added a ‘Years of Service’ column to our birthdays and anniversaries widget on the dashboard, giving you quick access to tenure information without opening an employee profile.
