When we started Tanda in 2012, we set out to make it easier to be an employer in Australia.

We found it frustrating that there are so many rules you need to follow when employing someone. The truth is - there are too many rules, and those rules are strangling Australian industry.

We started by building software that makes it easier to calculate Modern Award conditions. We have since added Australia’s best rostering, payroll, and HR software.  We have also added hundreds of enhancements to our core compliance technology, automating some of the most complex and most bizarre Award conditions. 

You shouldn’t need to be an expert in Award Interpretation just to run payroll. We have hired the brightest compliance experts, to continue iterating on the insanely difficult problem of understanding and automating all of the Fair Work rules. 

Solving compliance problems is hard. It is an iterative process and takes a long time. But it’s worth it. It’s good for businesses, it’s good for employees, and it’s good for the country. 

We hope the technology we have developed over the past decade will make it just that little bit easier to be an employer in Australia.
