Locking in your returns

With the signing of the AANZFTA, there is huge potential for companies to lower the costs of their regional trade and improve supply chain efficiencies.

The signing is a practical and effective counter to the increasingly strident and widespread calls for protectionism that have followed the onset of the current global economic crisis.

Now that the AANZFTA has created an environment for faster, more efficient and more profitable trade, it is now up to trading companies to grasp the opportunities - writes Geoff Short of Tanda International for ASEAN Business 2009 here.

"It was a pleasure to attend. Supply chain security issues will impact on all companies involved in international trade so this is a very relevant topic. My guess is that the majority of corporates are not aware of the likely impact of C-TPAT and similar programs.
